Vietnam, France discuss stepping up cooperation

He made the statement during areception for T.Vankerk-Hoven, Deputy Head of the Directorate ofSecurity and Defence Cooperation under the French Ministry of ForeignAffairs and International Development in Hanoi on May 12.

At themeeting, the French official said that his visit to Vietnam was designedto seek expanded cooperation between the two countries while affirmingFrance treasures its relations with Vietnam, including cooperation insecurity and defence.

The two officials agreed that althoughbilateral defence relations have seen numerous achievements, there isstill considerable room for collaboration to be fostered between the twosides looking forward.-VNA
