Vietnam gains glorious revolutionary victories under Party leadership
The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was born in February 1930 with the mission of leading the country. Under the leadership of the CPV, Vietnam has gained a number of glorious revolutionary victories.
An exhibition is underway at the Hoa Lo Prison relic site in Hanoi to help the public gain an insight into the fierce 12-day-and-night struggle against US airstrikes in late 1972 to defend the capital.
In the 12 days and nights of fierce fights in Hanoi in late December 1972 against the US air force, the Vietnamese army and people defeated US airstrikes in the North. This triumph is also called the “Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory, which took the name from the victory of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954 that put an end to the French colonial rule over Indochina.
A display of artifacts and images on the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” campaign is underway at the Hoan Kiem Lake Cultural Information Centre in Hanoi. The exhibition is part of activities to celebrate the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.
