The Vietnamese Government and the Council of the Vietnam-German University (VGU) are determined to develop the VGU, a symbol of the two countries’ friendly relationship, affirmed Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.
Minister Luan made the affirmation at a reception given by the State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office, Martin Biesel in Berlin on May 6.
Germany will continue backing the project, emphasised Biesel.
He said he hoped the two countries would promote bilateral cooperation in education and their schools would increase exchanges to boost mutual understanding.
Earlier, the same day, Minister Luan and his delegation held a working session with the State Secretary of the Ministry for Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg, Martin Gorholt.
During his three-day visit to Germany, Minister Luan also met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in which he praised the community’s success and development and its integration in the host country./.
