The eighth “Vietnam Glory” programme was held in Hanoi on August 15, honouring 20 outstanding individuals and organisations for their contributions to national emulation campaign and country’s construction and defence cause.
Addressing the function, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung praised the winners for their achievements and stressed that they epitomise Vietnam ’s strength.
The event was co-organised by Labour (Lao Dong) newspaper, Radio the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television and the A Chau company.
This is part of activities to mark the 65th year of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Independence Day (September 2), and the 1,000th anniverary of Thang Long- Hanoi./.
