The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence provided a 100,000 USD aid package for its Cambodian counterpart’s Personnel Department in a move to help the latter renovate policy and personnel works in the next five years.
At an aid receiving ceremony in Phnom Penh on November 17, General Meas Som Ol, Director of the Personnel Department, said the Vietnamese ministry seriously realised its pledge of cooperation and support to the Cambodian ministry in 2014.
This time’s assistance came at a time when the department is preparing to review five years of its personnel reform and set up targets for personnel policies for the next five years, he added.
Under a bilateral agreement, Vietnam’s Defence Ministry pledged an aid worth 21.6 million USD for equipment procurement, staff training, health care, and basic construction for the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence and Royal Army.
