Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnam presenteda printing factory for the Lao book publishing and distribution house to Laos inVientiane on December 12.

Located 7 km from the country’s capitalVientiane, the facility spans 400 square metres, with construction costamounting to 26 billion VND (1.14 million USD).

Pham Chi Thanh, head of the Vietnam NationalPolitical Publishing House, said this is the second publishing facility Vietnamhas given to Laos.

He expected the factory will help thepublishing house fulfill its duty of promoting the local government’s and party’spolices and laws.

Lao Minister of Information, Culture andTourism Buangean Saphuvong thanked the Vietnamese Government, Party and peoplefor the valuable gift and committed to effectively using the factory todisseminate information on Lao policy and Vietnam – Laos ties.

On the occasion, the Vietnam NationalPolitical Publishing House also presented its Lao equivalent laptops andcomputers worth about 300 million VND (13,200 USD) and friendship orders inacknowledgement of its publishing books on Vietnamese law and policy inLaos.-VNA
