Hanoi (VNA) – A training course on defenceexternal relations for personnel of the Lao People's Armed Forces opened inHanoi on September 23.

The 20-day course is the first of its kind co-organised byVietnamese and Lao defence ministries.

Participants are set to be informed on current regional andglobal affairs; Vietnam’s defence external policy; a number of ASEANmilitary-defence cooperation processes; and international laws on border,territory, marine navigation and aviation.

They will also be trained on skills to organise diplomaticactivities as well as to analyse, summarize, and forecast internationaldevelopments

Defence cooperation is one of the important pillars in Vietnam– Laos fraternal relations. /.
