Hanoi (VNA) – A training course on defence external relations for personnel of the Lao People's Armed Forces opened in Hanoi on September 23.

The 20-day course is the first of its kind co-organised by Vietnamese and Lao defence ministries.

Participants are set to be informed on current regional and global affairs; Vietnam’s defence external policy; a number of ASEAN military-defence cooperation processes; and international laws on border, territory, marine navigation and aviation.

They will also be trained on skills to organise diplomatic activities as well as to analyse, summarize, and forecast international developments
