Hanoi (VNA) - On behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Foreign Minister Do HungViet on January 9 presented a token of 100,000 USD as a gift from theVietnamese Government and people to Pakistan to help address typhoon aftermathsin 2022.

Viet expressed his sympathies with Pakistanis people on the consequences caused by typhoons that hit the country over the past time.

He stressed that the Vietnamese Government and people alwaysstand by the side of Pakistan in the spirit of cooperation, friendship, andmutual support.

For her part, Pakistan Ambassador Samina Mehtab thanked theVietnamese Government and people for the precious support, affirming Pakistanwill swiftly distribute the aid to people in affected areas.

She also affirmed to continue efforts to deepen thesound friendship relations between the two countries./.

Lao Cai was the locality that completed voting the earliest (at 17:45) and, together with the central city of Hue, was one of two out of 34 localities to reach 100% voter participation. Notably, Lao Cai province has 173 voters aged 100 and above (31 men and 142 women).
