Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting friendship and all-round cooperation with the Republic of Korea (RoK), Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has said.

Meeting with Chairman of the House Steering Committee of the RoK National Assembly Lee Hahn Koo in Hanoi on May 22, Ninh affirmed that Vietnam will do its utmost to bolster the ties with the RoK.

The Deputy PM said Vietnam treasures the RoK’s cooperation and support in various fields such as economics, trade, culture and education, especially RoK businesses’ contributions to Vietnam’s development over the past years.

He expressed his hope that the RoK will create further favourable conditions for Vietnamese people to live and work in the RoK.

The Deputy PM said he believes that the Vietnam-RoK relations will be further promoted in the future.

He also appreciated the RoK’s suggestion to exchange experience and support Vietnam in developing new model of rural area.

Lee Hahn Koo said his country wants to boost cooperation with Vietnam in bilateral aspects as well as at regional and international forums.

The regular meetings between senior leaders of both countries have remarkably contributed to fostering the RoK-Vietnam ties, he stressed.

He highlighted the important role played both countries’ National Assemblies and parliamentarians as representatives of will and aspiration of both peoples in promoting the ties between the two countries in both depth and width.

Lee Hahn Koo noted that in the coming time, his country will send experts specialising in developing new rural area model to Vietnam to share experience.-VNA
