Vietnam in top seed group for draw of AFF Cup 2020

The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has announced seed groups for the upcoming draw of the 2020 edition of the AFF Championship, or AFF Suzuki Cup.

Hanoi (VNA) – The ASEANFootball Federation (AFF) has announced seed groups for the upcoming drawof the 2020 edition of the AFF Championship, or AFF Suzuki Cup.

Vietnam, as the reigningchampions, are in the top seed group along with Thailand.

The No. 2 seed groupincludes the Philippines and Myanmar, while Malaysia and Singapore are placed inthe third group.

Indonesia and Cambodia arein the No. 4 group. The final group comprises Laos and Brunei orTimor-Leste.

The teams will be dividedinto two groups and play in the round-robin format. The draw is scheduled for September21 in Singapore.

The football tournament willtake place from December 5, 2021 to January 1, 2022, but the host country has yet to beannounced./.
