Vietnam, Japan cooperate in social infrastructure, IT

Japan will begin exporting social infrastructure and its most advanced information technology from March and Vietnam will be the first destination to benefit.
Japan will begin exporting social infrastructure and its most advancedinformation technology from March and Vietnam will be the firstdestination to benefit.

It is a public-privateprogramme, with a total state budget of 150 million yen, according toJapan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC).

According to MIC, Japan considers the programme a key pillar in its future economic development strategy.

Japan will carry out a pilot project to evaluate water and airquality in Vietnam with the company NTT DATA, which has beensuccessful in developing social infrastructure and IT in modern urbanareas in Japan .

Under the programme, a centrewill be set up to analyse environmental data such as water and airquality and equipment will be installed in various locations inVietnam. NTT DATA will research Mekong River water levels andquality, as well as the air quality in Ho Chi Minh City .

The company will collect energy data from industrial parks in theoutskirts of Hanoi to determine ways to use power in a moreeconomical and effective manner.-VNA

Vietnam, Russia seek stronger cooperation in policy research, training

Head of the Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed appreciation for the RANEPA and its predecessor institutions for their contributions to training and fostering Vietnamese officials. Over the past decades, nearly 1,000 Vietnamese officials and leaders have studied and received training there, many of whom have gone on to hold important positions in Vietnam’s political system.

During his stay, NA President Man held a meeting with Prime Minister Han Seong Sook and talks with NA Speaker Cho Jeong Sik.
