Vietnam, Japan team up to assist Africa

A conference entitled “Vietnam-Japan Cooperation for Africa Development” was held on March 29 in Hanoi to intensify the two countries’ support for the continent.
A conference entitled “Vietnam-Japan Cooperation for Africa Development” was held on March 29 in Hanoi to intensify the two countries’ support for the continent.

Speaking at the event, co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam , Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc affirmed that Vietnam wants to strengthen cooperation with Japan so that both can continuously assist Africa’s development.

Participants assessed the Vietnam-Japan-Africa cooperation over the past years and discussed orientations and new forms for triple cooperation projects.

In the framework of the South-South Cooperation, Vietnam has implemented many triple and quadruple cooperation projects with the sponsor of partners from France, Japan, South Africa and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in some African countries namely Mali, Senegal, Madagascar, Congo, Benin, and Namibia.-VNA
