Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam wants to learn from the agricultural co-operative model of Japan in order to seek a development direction suitable with its own advantages, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung told Fumiyasu Akegawa, President of Devnet Japan at a meeting in Hanoi on October 21.
Deputy PM Dung said that it will be beneficial if Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia study this co-operative model together with the support of international organisations under the United Nations and Devnet.
He thanked Devnet for supporting flood victims in Vietnam’s central provinces.
For his part, Akegawa said that his organisation is launching projects to support agriculture and poor people in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
