Vietnam will help Laos continue with the second-phase of construction of its national sports training centre in 2010 and 2011.
This is part of a cooperation programme signed between the visiting Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh and the Chairman of the Laos National Sports Committee, Phouthong Seng Akhom, in Vientiane on March 12.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two countries will send athletes to compete in each other’s tournaments and encourage national and provincial sports associations to increase exchanges and cooperation in this field.
Vietnam will train two postgraduate and one doctoral-level manager for the Lao sports sector and enhance the sharing of information related to physical training and sports.
During his three-day visit wrapping up on March 14, Minister Anh is scheduled to visit the construction site of the national college of music, work with the General Department of Tourism of Laos and call in at a number of cultural relic sites in Vientiane./,
