Green technologies and business solutions that Vietnam badly needs as it braces to meet climate change challenges will be presented by European firms at a conference and exhibition in HCM City on September 15-16.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam(EuroCham) in partnership with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (VCCI) and the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre on June 16hold a press conference to officially launch the second edition of the“Conference and Exhibition on European Green Business Solutions -GreenBiz2011” programme.

The programme will focus on greensustainable business solutions, targeting the Vietnamese government andcompanies in particular. Organisers said it will present specificsolutions to tackle climate change, energy issues and otherenvironmental challenges.

GreenBiz works as a bride forVietnamese and European businesses to discuss strategies for Vietnam’schanges that look towards a greener and more sustainable future,EuroCham Chairman Alain Cany said./.

During the pre-Tet peak, several routes from Ho Chi Minh City to destinations such as Hue, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon, Chu Lai and Dong Hoi have recorded booking rates above 90%, with some reaching 100%. In contrast, return flights from localities to Ho Chi Minh City remain low, with many flights reporting booking rates below 35% and several operating as ferry flights to return aircraft.
