Addressing a workshop on December 15 in Mexico City, where localenterprises seek opportunities for investment and tourism promotion inVietnam, the ambassador noted that bilateral trade exchange is likely tosurpass 1.8 billion USD in 2014, but the figure is small compared withthe total foreign trade values of 780 billion USD and 280 billion USD ofMexico and Vietnam, respectively.

During the event, Mexicanbusiness representatives said a lack of knowledge and accurateinformation about Vietnam and its market and culture is a major obstaclefor them in trade with Vietnam.

They put many questions onVietnam’s law and administrative procedures on investment and trade.Many expressed the wish to visit Vietnam to study the market.

Aphoto exhibition was also held in the framework of the workshop tointroduce to the Mexican friends about Vietnam, its people and culturein the process of international integration.-VNA
