Vietnam and Mongolia’s Ministries of Health on June 6 signed an agreement on health cooperation for the 2013-2015 period.
The two ministries will strengthen their cooperation in training, scientific research, pharmaceuticals, preventive and traditional medicine.
Direct cooperation between hospitals, universities and research institutes from both sides is also encouraged.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said that health cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia has seen positive developments since 2002 when the two sides inked their first agreement on health cooperation.
The two Governments always encourage their cooperation, especially in their annual inter-governmental sessions, he added.
Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Dorj Enkhbat said he hopes health relations between the two countries will further develop.-VNA
