The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on April 9 handed over to Laos a collection of works by Karl Marx, Frederic Engels, Lenin and Ho Chi Minh which were translated from Vietnamese into Lao language.
The translation work was done over six years, from 2008 to 2013 by experts from the academy and the Laos National Academy for Politics and Public Administration.
The collection comprises six volumes of Marx and Engels’s works, four volumes of Lenin’s, and three volumes of Ho Chi Minh’s, with a total of 15,000 pages.
Addressing the hand-over ceremony in Vientiane, Lao Vice President Bounnhang Volochith and the Communist Party of Vietnam Politburo member Dinh The Huynh said the publication will be very helpful to Lao officials in mastering the principles of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, in order to further prefect the policies of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, as well as to serve the research and training in the country.-VNA
