Vietnam's team at the 11th ASEAN School Games in Indonesia (Photo: thethaohcm.vn) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam finished in fifth place at the 11th ASEANSchools Games, which wrapped up in Indonesia on July 24.
The team earned eight golds, eight silvers and four bronzes after six days ofcompetition in Semarang.
Most of the medals went to track-and-field athletes with Le Tien Long and BuiThi Ngan each winning two titles. They also each set one record.
Competitors in pencak silat and table tennis contributed one silver medal each.
Hosts Indonesia topped the ranking with 43 gold medals. Thailand and Malaysiawere second and third.
