Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam, as a member of the Comprehensive and ProgressiveAgreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), is willing to shareinformation about and its experience in participating in the pact with the UKif the latter is interested, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi ThuHang.

Thespokesperson made the remark at the ministry’s regular press conference onSeptember 17, noting that as far as she knows, the UK had held some discussions with CPTPP membersover recent time.

Hangstressed that the CPTPP is a high-quality free trade agreement with comprehensivecommitments to promoting economic-trade cooperation among member countries andtrade liberalization towards open and rules-based trade in the region.

Sheunderlined that CPTPP member countries have adopted procedures for joining thepact, and economies interested in the pact should meet its high standards andfollow admission process./.

Resolution adjusting 2025 socio-economic development plan adopted

According to the resolution, the construction of a modern and harmonious railway aims to meet the transport demand between Vietnam and China. The initiative is expected to serve as a catalyst for rapid and sustainable economic development along the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong economic corridor while strengthening national defence and security and promoting the industrialisation and modernisation, contributing to delivering on the targets and missions set at the documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the Party’s resolutions.
