Vietnam's national football team remains at the 146th in the world, according to the latest FIFA rankings released in September.
The team is still placed second in the Southeast Asia region on 183 points – 61 points behind Thailand – while the top three in Asia remain unchanged with Japan dominating with 793 points, followed by Australia and the Republic of Korea.
Spain continue to hold the top position in the world with 1,617 points, with Germany in second after accruing 1,437 points. England occupy the third place with 1,274 points while Portugal has surpassed Uruguay to claim the fourth spot.
