Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam recorded 13,770 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours to 4pm on November 29, according to the Ministry of Health.
Among the new cases, 7,601 were found in the community and 12 were imported.
Compared to the previous, the number of daily cases rose nationally by 830.
The total number of cases nationwide is now 1,224,110.
Ho Chi Minh reported the highest number of infections with 1,554 new infections, followed by southern Can Tho city with 913 and Tay Ninh with 719. The capital city of Hanoi reported 429 new cases.
A further 173 deaths were also recorded across the country, raising the total number of fatalities to 25,055.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 16,088 patients were recovered from COVID-19 on November 29, bringing the total number of people given the all-clear to 974,724.
There are currently 6,413 patients nationwide in serious conditions, with 610 requiring invasive ventilation and 12 on life support (ECMO).
Vietnam has so far administered more than 120.6 million doses of vaccines. More than 49.6 million citizens are now fully inoculated./.
