Vietnam reports 13,770 new COVID-19 cases on November 29

Vietnam recorded 13,770 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours to 4pm on November 29, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam recorded 13,770 new cases of COVID-19in the past 24 hours to 4pm on November 29, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among the new cases, 7,601 were found in thecommunity and 12 were imported.

Compared to the previous, the number of dailycases rose nationally by 830.

The total number of cases nationwide is now 1,224,110.

HoChi Minh reported the highest number of infections with 1,554 new infections,followed by southern Can Tho city with 913 and Tay Ninh with 719. Thecapital city of Hanoi reported 429 new cases.

A further 173 deaths were also recorded across the country, raising thetotal number of fatalities to 25,055.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 16,088 patients were recovered fromCOVID-19 on November 29, bringing the total number of people given theall-clear to 974,724.

 There are currently 6,413patients nationwide in serious conditions, with 610 requiring invasiveventilation and 12 on life support (ECMO).

Vietnamhas so far administered more than 120.6 million doses of vaccines. Morethan 49.6 million citizens are now fully inoculated./.

Vietnamese scientists unlock genetic insights into rare diseases

All People’s Health Day promotes early disease prevention

The launch marked the first year the activity has been implemented in a coordinated manner nationwide. Free cancer screening, health checks to benefit 10,000 people in Hanoi

Participants will receive comprehensive health checks through a streamlined one-stop process, including blood pressure measurement, height and weight assessment, BMI and cardiovascular risk evaluation, blood tests, general examinations and specialist consultations in internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry and oncology. Rapid blood glucose testing and biochemical screening will also be conducted to detect diabetes and metabolic disorders.

Over 25,000 hand, foot and mouth disease cases posted in 3 months

In the first three months, more than 25,000 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease have been recorded nationwide. Of the total cases, around 18,000, or nearly 72%, were concentrated in southern provinces. The disease has primarily affected children aged between one and five.
