Vietnam reports 248 new COVID-19 infections

Additional 248 new COVID-19 cases were added to the national tally in the past six hours to 12:00pm on July 6, raising the caseload to 21,560, according to the Health Ministry.

Hanoi (VNA) – Additional 248 new COVID-19 cases were added to thenational tally in the past six hours to 12:00pm on July 6, raising the caseloadto 21,560, according to the Health Ministry.

Of the new cases, six are imported, including four in QuangNam province and two in Kien Giang province.

Among the domestically-transmitted infections, 209 wererecorded in Ho Chi Minh City, 10 in Hanoi, seven in Phu Yen, six in Long An,four in Thanh Hoa, three in Bac Giang, and one each in Lang Son, Bac Ninh andHa Nam. Of them, 182 were detected in quarantine sites or locked-down areas.

Among active patients undergoing treatment, 311 have testednegative to the coronavirus once, 133 twice and 72 thrice.

To contain the pandemic in the “new normal” situation, theHealth Ministry called on all Vietnamese citizens to follow 5K message,including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach(distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (healthdeclaration)./.

Sharp tobacco tax hike urged to safeguard youths, community health

Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
