Vietnam reports 4,411 new COVID-19 cases, over 2,000 recoveries on October 27

Vietnam recorded 4,411 cases of COVID-19 on October 27, including seven imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 4,411 cases of COVID-19 on October 27, including seven imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health. 

Ho Chi Minh City still recorded the highest number of infections with 1,140, followed by neighbouring Binh Duong province with 521 and Dong Nai province with 499. The capital city of Hanoi recorded 26 cases in the past 24 hours.

The national tally now stands at 900,585.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 2,718 patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 344 requiring invasive ventilation and 20 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 54 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 21,856.

A further 2,024 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 812,314.

By October 26, the country had injected over 75.97 million doses of vaccines, with more than 22.23 million people now fully inoculated./.
