Government Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh held talks on November 24 in Hanoi with Kun Yang, Chairman of the Republic of Korea’s Board of Audit and Inspection, who is leading a delegation to Vietnam from November 23-26.

At the talks, Tranh said he was delighted with the Board of Audit and Inspection’s proposal of a medium-term training project, supported by the RoK Government, to strengthen the capacity of the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate.

The Vietnamese inspection agency hopes the project will strengthen their professional skills, and expand the application of information technology in their work, Tranh added.

He also expressed his hope that the two sides will share experiences in directing and managing inspection activities that will contribute to improving the effectiveness of each country’s state management.

Kun Yang highly values the two countries’ 20 years of diplomatic ties and cooperation. He believes that not only economic cooperation, but also cultural, training, and sporting cooperation will increase in the near future.

Before the end of their visit, the delegation will meet with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and make a working call to the State Audit.-VNA
