Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) issued a joint statement in Hanoi on September 9, on the occasion of RoK President Park Geun-hye’s ongoing State-level visit to Vietnam from September 7-11.
It cited that both sides express satisfaction at the considerable development of bilateral ties in socio-politics, economics, culture and people-to-people exchange since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992.
They reached consensus on promoting the pragmatic development of their strategic cooperative partnership for common prosperity and the well-being of the two peoples, particularly in politics-security, economics-trade, development cooperation and socio-culture while expanding their links at regional and global forums.
