Vietnam, RoK share experiences in combating corruption

The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea (ACRC) have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in sharing experiences in anti-corruption and inspection policies and activities, receiving citizens’ petitions and organising joint inspections, researches and seminars.

The document was inked after the talks between Vietnamese Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh and ACRC Chairman Lee Sung-bo in Seoul on March 27 during the former’s visit to the country from March 25-29.

At the talks, host and guest exchanged experiences in the management of inspections, supervisions and petition settlement relating to the problem.

The Vietnamese side expressed the wish that both sides will further promote all-round cooperation, especially in the managerial work in the field, and highlighted the efficiency and experiences of ACRC at multilateral forums on the theme.

Tranh said he hoped to learn RoK experiences in combating corruption, settling petitions and cooperating with ACRC in protecting rights and obligations of the two countries’ citizens living, studying and working in respective country.

For his part, Lee Sung-bo affirmed that his country wishes to exchange high-ranking visits to further promote RoK-Vietnam strategic partnership.-VNA
