Officials from the central board of health care and protection have shared experience in taking care of public health with South African counterparts during a visit from August 11-17.

The delegation, led by head of the board Nguyen Quoc Trieu, also studied the host country’s healthcare system and incentives as well as opportunities and challenges in the field.

South African experts hailed the health cooperation between Vietnam and African countries.

The delegation made a tour of several local hospitals, including the Mediclinic and Military Hospital No.1 in Pretoria, where President Nelson Mandela received medical care before he passed away at the age of 94 last December.-VNA
