Vietnam to begin encyclopaedia compilation this year

The compilation of the 36-volume encyclopaedia is slated to be completed in 2023, according to Decision 1262/QD-TTg.

Inthe 2014-2019 period, the 36 volumes of the reference work will becompiled according to subjects while their entries and articles will bearranged alphabetically from 2020 to 2023.

The project aims to provide a comprehensive summary of information covering all branches of knowledge of Vietnam and the world.

Thebook is hoped to help improve the overall intellectual level, servingthe nation’s industrialisation, modernisation and internationalintegration.

The Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is assigned to chair the compilation.-VNA
