Vietnam to introduce tourism in RoK in late June

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is inviting travel agencies, hotels and resorts across the country to participate in a programme to promote Vietnamese tourism in the Republic of Korea (RoK), scheduled to take place from June 25-30.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) isinviting travel agencies, hotels and resorts across the country to participatein a programme to promote Vietnamese tourism in the Republic of Korea (RoK),scheduled to take place from June 25-30.

Vietnam, one of thefastest-growing countries in the tourism industry, is considered a topdestination for Korean tourists thanks to its low costs and diverse attractions.

After topping the 1million level for the first time in 2015, the annual number of Korean touriststo Vietnam rose to 2.42 million in 2017 and 3.44 million last year.

The figure recordeda year-on-year rise of 24 percent in the first three months of this year,exceeding the 1 million mark for the first time in a quarter. It is expected tosurpass 4 million for the whole year.

To maintain thisgrowth pace, the VNAT plans to introduce Vietnam’s tourism in the RoK’s Seouland Daegu cities.-VNA

With the theme “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunity,” Visit Vietnam Year 2025 aims to strengthen tourism linkages between Hue and other cities and provinces nationwide, while enhancing the image, position, and brand of Vietnamese tourism in general and that of the central city in particular. The programme will feature four main seasonal activity groups representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter, encompassing over 170 national and provincial-level events.

Binh Thuan eyes more Korean tourists

According to statistics, in the first two months of 2025, Binh Thuan welcomed over 116,000 international visitors, up 32% year-on-year, with the RoK ranking third in terms of arrivals.

Under this initiative, Hanoi will introduce two cultural tourism routes connecting the southern and western areas of the city. A new community-based tourism destination will be established in My Duc district, alongside the development of agricultural and rural tourism models, as well as night tourism offerings.

Russia looks to boost tourism with Vietnam

Russia aims to facilitate entry for group travelers from Vietnam. Meanwhile, Vietnam has extended its visa exemption for travelers from 12 countries, including Russia, until March 14, 2028.

2025 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival to be held next month
