The Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has kicked off a project to build 40 high quality vocational training schools by 2020.
MOLISA Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Phi stressed the importance of vocational training, especially high quality vocational training, to the target of training 2.9 million people in the 2016-2020 period.
He noted that the project to develop 40 high quality vocational training schools aims to prepare thoroughly and efficiently for realising this target.
The 40 schools will be chosen from the current 500 vocational training facilities.
According to MOLISA, by 2015, 26 vocational training schools will receive investment to become high quality schools, and the number will be increased to 40 by 2020.
The ministry also targets to have in place 49 regional standard teaching programmes and 26 international standard teaching programmes by 2015.-VNA
