Vietnam treasures ties with China: Deputy PM

Attending a banquet celebrating the 65 th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties held by the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi on January 15, the Vietnamese leader stressed that during the 65-year journey the bilateral relations have sometimes met with difficulties, but the cooperation and friendship have kept growing thanks to concerted efforts.

He noted that in the current global context, both countries and their Parties are dealing with new opportunities and challenges in the renewal and nation-building courses. They both need the external environment to be peaceful and stable and cooperative.
In 2015, the two countries should strictly implement agreements and common perceptions reached between their senior leaders, while ceaselessly deepening the bilateral relations for the sake of the two peoples, practically contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiao Yong briefed the guests on the achievements reaped by the two nations over the last 65 years, especially after they established the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in 2008.

He affirmed China always treasures its ties with Vietnam and wishes to work with the neighbor to bring the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new level of development.

On the same day, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho hosed a banquet marking the 65 th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties in Beijing.-VNA
