Vietnamese Ambassador to Moldova Nguyen Minh Tri has presented his credentials to Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti.
In a reception for the diplomat on October 8 following the presentation, the President highlighted the traditional friendship between the two nations and showed his appreciation of Vietnam.
The President said bilateral economic cooperation had not yet met its full potential. He hoped the two countries’ ministries and sectors would accelerate ties with a view to satisfying demand and benefitting their people for the sake of regional and global peace and stability.
On his part, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tri said he would try his best to boost the Vietnam-Moldova traditional friendship and cooperation. He asked the Moldovan authorities to continue creating the best possible conditions for the embassy to perform its tasks.
On the occasion, the ambassador had working sessions with Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Ministry of the Economy, and Ministry of Education, as well as participated in dialogues with Vietnamese and Moldovan enterprises.-VNA
