The pavilion at 37th International Book Fair, which opened in Kolkata city of India’s West Bengal state on January 30, is run by the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee (IVSC) in the state.

Among those on display are famous works such as “Chien thang Dien Bien Phu” (Dien Bien Phu victory) and “Lich su Viet Nam” (History of Vietnam), together with a number of literary works.

At the fair, Indian scholars and culturists highly valued Vietnam’s literature, culture and history, saying that the display will help bring Vietnamese and Indian people closer.

This is also a good chance for Indian and foreign readers to understand more about Vietnam, IVSC President Geetesh Sharma said.

The books on display have been collected by Sharma and other members of the committee during their visits to Vietnam and through Vietnam’s representative offices in India.-VNA
