Vietnamese Border Guard Commander Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet is paying a working visit to China from March 9-15.

The commander’s visit is intended to consolidate and develop the friendship and cooperation between the border guard forces of the two countries and increase the efficiency of law enforcement along their shared border.

The Vietnamese delegation visited the Hekou Border Guard Company and met with its officers. During which, Viet expressed his appreciation of the effective coordination between the Hekou Border Guard Company with Lao Cai province’s Border Guard Force in patrolling the border, thereby fostering peace and friendship.

He said he hopes in the coming time, the two forces will promote their achievements in building, managing and safeguarding the border to further nurture the Vietnam-China friendship.-VNA
