Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka recently held a get-together in celebration for the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival. 

Attending the event were representatives from the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Colombo city’s administration, and the Sri Lanka – Vietnam Solidarity Association and a large number of Vietnamese people who are residing, working and studying in the country.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Pham Thi Bich Ngoc extended her best greetings to Vietnamese nationals in the South Asian country.

After reviewing Vietnam’s outstanding achievements and spotlights in bilateral ties last year, the ambassador lauded activities of the Vietnamese community and urged them to stay united and further contribute to traditional friendship between the two nations.

Participants enjoyed traditional Vietnamese foods and music performances.-VNA
