The Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka, Japan, in conjunction with the association of Vietnamese students studying at Asia Pacific University (APU) in Oita prefecture organised a “Vietnamese Culture Week 2014” from June 30-July 4.
With traditional foods and folk games, and fashion shows, the event offered a chance for local people and international friends to get an insight of Vietnam’s cultural identity.
Organised from 2003, the week aims to promote Vietnamese culture in many countries across the world.
This year’s event in Japan was considered as a diplomatic culture event, contributing to forging cultural links between the two countries.-VNA
