Hanoi (VNA) - Well-known Vietnamese designer Le Thanh Hoa will transform a 50m-long luxurious cruiser into a ramp for his upcoming fashion show.
The event, which will be held on April 20 in Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh, will introduce to fashionistas Hoa’s Spring-Summer 2018 Collection and is touted to be the designer’s best fashion show of the year.
Hoa said he had nurtured the idea of organising a show in the backdrop of the world’s natural heritage for a long time.
“I would love to contemplate the models displaying my designs in the vast open sea, among the imposing and poetic landscape,” Hoa said.
All of his designs, worn by 15 models, will manifest the liberating and strong yet romantic elements of nature.
At the end of the show, visitors can enjoy dinner and spend the night on the luxury cruiser. The producers of the show expect to offer the visitors a new experience, combining fashion show, holiday and tourism.
Hoa said there would only be 100 exclusive invitees to the show, including renowned Vietnamese models - Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh, Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Nie and first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014 Nguyen Tran Huyen My, all of whom have adorned Hoa’s designs in recent years.
The 33-year-old designer graduated with top marks from the Industrial Arts Department of the University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City. He entered the fashion world after winning the third prize in First Collection contest, organised by Muc Tim newspaper, and the first prize in Pure Fashion Design contest in 2009.
Hoa has participated in major Vietnamese fashion shows, including Dep Fashion Show, Elle Show or Vietnam International Fashion Week.
