Vietnamese exhibitors take part in Havana Int’l Fair

Some 20 Vietnamese exhibitors are participating in the 35th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2017) in the capital city of Cuba from October 30 to November 3.

Havana (VNA) – Some 20 Vietnameseexhibitors are participating in the 35th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2017)in the capital city of Cuba from October 30 to November 3.

The businesses bring to the fair a wide range ofmade-in-Vietnam products including farm produce, processed foods, dairyproducts, clothing, sports instrument, building materials, bathroom fixtures,traditional handicrafts, beauty products and others.

According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency(Vietrade), the event, the largest ever in the region, hosts a 300-sqm VietnamPavilion of 30 booths which has been visited by a number of businesses fromCentral America, Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East to look for partnershipopportunity.

The fair witnessed the signing of a memorandumof understanding between the Thai Binh Investment and Trading Corporation (ThaiBinh) from Vietnam and TRD Group from Cuba, facilitating the opening of ashowroom for building materials in Cuba and the launch of the Vietnam-La SortijaHouse selling imported goods from Vietnam.

The FIHAV attracted about 3,400 exhibitors from70 countries and territories this year.-VNA

Exports face stiff test in bid to hit 550 billion USD

To achieve export growth of over 15% as directed by the Government, the MoIT said it will prioritise a set of core measures in 2026, including expanding production capacity, developing new export products, increasing domestic content and value added, accelerating the shift from processing to manufacturing, and proactively addressing trade barriers and defence measures.
