Under the 8 billion VND(377,040 USD) project, the province will send 120 to 150 farmers andmanagers of farms and agricultural cooperatives to Thailand, theRepublic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and China for study, accordingto Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Truong Tho.
They will learn from foreign experience in buildingnew-style rural areas, developing models of economic cooperation inagriculture, managing large-scale farms management, as well aspreserving and processing products.
They will also studyhow to build brands for agricultural products and apply advancedtechnology in production to increase added values.
After thestudy tours, the trainees will become a major force that activelycontributes to the new-style rural area building movement in thelocality, Tho said.
Quang Ngai province has more than 286,200households living on farming, aquaculture, handicrafts and agriculturalservices, accounting for 46 percent of the total population.-VNA
