Vietnam’s Thai Binh Trading Corporation has provided aid worth 150,000 USD for the Cuban people to help them overcome the consequences left by Hurricane Sandy.
A ceremony to present the gift in a symbolic manner was organised in Havana on July 30.
Part of the aid package, including building materials and furniture, arrived in Cuba on July 18 while the remaining will be delivered on August 10.
Hurricane Sandy swept through Cuba in October 2012, killing 11 people and devastating hundreds of thousands of houses and public buildings. Total damages by the storm was estimated at 88 million USD.-VNA
