Vietnamese Guinness record of bamboo pole dance set
A Vietnamese Guiness record of bamboo pole dance was set at the Sun World Fansipan Legend Resort in Sa Pa town, mountainous province of Lao Cai on August 10.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on March 15 chaired a meeting on the plan to set up the district-level town of Sa Pa in the northwestern province of Lao Cai, highlighting the establishment’s necessity to local development.

Sa Pa district in the mountainous province of Lao Cai welcomed a record of close to 81,000 visitors during the five-day national holiday from April 27 to May 1, up 18 percent from the same period last year.
In order to offload visitors in Sa Pa town and improve local people’s livelihood, Lao Cai province has focused on agro-tourism development in recent years.
