HCMCity (VNA) – A high-level delegation from Ho Chi Minh City visitedJapan’s Kyushu University on March 24 to discuss cooperation opportunitiesbetween the establishment and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City(VNUHCM).
Ata meeting between representatives of the two universities, VNUHCM PresidentHuynh Thanh Dat expressed his expectation for the sides’ stronger cooperationin the future.
Hesuggested the two sign collaborative pacts in flood prevention solutions forHCM City, innovative urban building, startup-innovation, high-tech farming, andacademic exchange, and human resources training.
VicePresident of Kyushu University Koichiro Watanabe said he hopes Vietnamese universities,including the VNUHCM, will become key partners of his university.
Foundedin Fukuoka in 1911, Kyushu University is the 4th oldest university in Japan andone of the former Imperial Universities. It is training about 2,200international students, among which Vietnamese ranked 4th in termsof the number.-VNA
