in celebration of the 90th Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).
Highlighting the rapid spread and increasing impact of the media, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son lauded efforts made by reporters from representative offices in Russia of the Vietnam News Agency, Radio The Voice of Vietnam and the Vietnam Television.
As the host country’s politics and socio-economic affairs are of concern worldwide, their diligent work has significantly contributed to the international diplomacy of the Vietnamese Party and Government and to a healthier Vietnam-Russia friendship, Son stated.
He went on to congratulate amateur overseas Vietnamese press writers on conveying informative news to their expatriate communities.
At the get-together, attending journalists expressed their appreciation for assistance from the Vietnam Embassy in Russia. They also exchanged experiences in information processing and discussed the professional ethics required to cover news in the current complicated global context.-VNA
