Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Kickboxers Nguyen Tran Duy Nhatand Nguyen Thanh Tung will represent Vietnam at the ONE: Immortal TriumphChampionship, which will make its highly-anticipated debut in the country onSeptember 6.

The tournament will take place in Phu Tho Stadium, HCM City,featuring world-class Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts. The highlight of theevent is the competition between ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World ChampionNong-O Gaiyanghadao defending his coveted belt against French Muay Thaistar Brice Deval.

The event is also the arena for Vietnam’s best martialartists to showcase their skills. Muay Thai Vietnam’s legend, Nguyen Tran DuyNhat will fight against Malaysia kickboxer Azwan Che Wil. Meanwhile, Vietnamesefighter Nguyen Thanh Tung will compete against counterpart Shahzaib Rindh fromPakistan.

Nhat is an undefeated Muay Thai fighter of Vietnam,triumphing at all national championships as well as many internationaltournaments, particularly the victory over Muay Thai star, Victor Pinto in ThaiFight championship in 2015. This year, Nhat also made headlines when he won theWorld Lethwei Championship for the second time.-VNS/VNA

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
