Vietnamese kids win gold at maths contest

The Vietnamese student team won 20 gold medals at the seventh World Mathematics Team Championship (WMTC) in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

Hanoi (VNA) – TheVietnamese student team won 20 gold medals at the seventh World MathematicsTeam Championship (WMTC) in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

They also brought home 11 silversand one bronze medal. All 32 Vietnamese students came from schools in Hanoiwith each grabbing at least one medal.

The WMTC is an annualinternational contest for primary and secondary students. This year’s event featured73 teams from 11 countries and territories.-VNA

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.
