Vietnamese, Lao courts strengthen cooperation

The VPSCdelegation held talks with the Chief Justice of the Lao People’sSupreme Court (LPSC) Khammy Xayavong, reviewing the implementation ofcooperative activities in 2008-2010 and exchanging experiences inconsolidating the tribunal system.

Between2008-2009, the VPSC provided 2 billion VND (over 105,000 USD) for theLPSC and organised short-term training courses for 50 Lao courtofficers.

The two sides agreed to continue theircooperation plan for 2011-2012, including training for Lao courtofficials, strengthening the exchange of experiences in tribunal workand hosting a conference of chief justices of border provinces ofVietnam, Laos and Cambodia later this year.

During their stay in Laos, Chief Justice Binh and his entouragepaid a courtesy visit to Chairman of the Lao National Assembly ThongsingThammavong, who said the visit helped strengthen the traditionalfriendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between thetwo countries in general and between the two courts in particular./.

Vietnam, Thailand strengthen sharing of legislative and oversight experience

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Vietnam’s National Assembly and Thailand’s House of Representatives, signed in 2023, Vietnam and Thailand agreed to continue exchanges of delegations at all levels, expand interactions between parliamentary friendship groups, especially the Vietnam–Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as among women and young parliamentarians, while maintaining close coordination at multilateral forums.

Vietnamese Embassy in Israel urges citizens to enhance safety measures

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recommended that Vietnamese nationals regularly follow alerts and instructions issued by the Israeli Home Front Command; install and use the official Home Front Command warning application; and immediately move to a safe room or shelter when air raid sirens sound. They should avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from areas considered unsafe or at risk of unsafety.
