Vietnamese legislators pay visit to Ukraine

The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Speaker of theUkrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) A. Martyniuk and worked with itsCommittee on Foreign Affairs, and Committee on Rules of ParliamentProcedure, Ethics and Support to Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Martyniuk briefed the Vietnamese lawmakers aboutVerkhovna Rada’s operations and Ukraine ’s political, socio-economicsituation and foreign policy.

The two nations haveno differences in stances on dealing with regional and internationalissues, and they have effectively coordinated in internationalorganisations and forums, he said.

Martyniukemphasised the necessity to step up cooperation between the twocountries in general and the two parliaments in particular, includingaccelerating the signing of framework agreements on cooperation betweenthe governments.

The two legislative bodies shouldalso increase the exchange of high-level visits, he said, adding thatUkraine is preparing for the Vietnam visit of the Speaker of theVerkhovna Rada later this year.

During their workingsessions with the two committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ,the Vietnamese legislators inquired into the structure as well asoperational and law-making experiences of the parliament and its bodies.

First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on ForeignAffairs T. Trernovil said Ukrainian parliamentarians highly value thecontributions of overseas Vietnamese who are living, studying andworking in Ukraine .

The official also pledgedto create favourable conditions that would ensure a legal foundation foroverseas Vietnamese to legally live and work in Ukraine./.

Vietnam, Laos sign cooperation agreement to enhance financial management capacity for 2026–2030

The agreement was one of four cooperation documents exchanged during the Lao PM’s ongoing official visit to Vietnam, reflecting the determination of the two Parties, States, as well as ministries, and sectors of the two countries to further consolidate, strengthen and deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos.

Vietnam, Thailand further bolster 50-year ties

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on August 6, 1976, Vietnam-Thailand ties have expanded steadily in both breadth and depth. The two countries enjoy strong political trust and close relations between their leaders and people. This has provided a solid foundation for deeper cooperation across all channels, including state, government, parliamentary, business, local-level and people-to-people exchanges.

Vietnam, Thailand political parties seek closer ties

The Communist Party of Vietnam and the Democrat Party of Thailand will further enhance their ties, contributing to the consolidation of the Vietnam–Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the benefit of the two countries' people and for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
