Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese player Phan Van Duc’s outstanding performance in the ASEAN FootballFederation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2018 semi-final first leg has earned him a place inthe top five performers of the tournament so far, according to Fox SportsAsia.
Van Duc played a keyrole in Vietnam’s 2-1 win over the Philippines in an away match on December 2.
"His enterprisedown the wing gave Philippines’ makeshift right-back Adam Tull all sorts ofproblems, and he also showed intelligence beyond his years with aperfectly-timed run in between two defenders to race through and score whatproved to be the winner," the website said.
Fox Sports Asia also said his movement wasbrilliant throughout the match as he helped create space up top for the GoldenDragons.
The 22-year-old player has scored two goals inthe AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.
